Spinster Sisters founder and owner Kelly Perkins crafted her first batch of bar soap in 1994 after learning about the adverse effects of the antibacterial triclosan found in many soap products. She took her first batches to local farmer's markets and couldn't believe how much soap she sold to consumers who had become more conscious of the ingredients they wanted to avoid in their skin care.
Our signature Bar Soap has changed very little from that first batch, even though we now produce tens of thousands of bars yearly.
